Since our establishment in 2017, we have been dedicated to bringing the authentic voices of communities to the forefront. Through our compelling films, we aim to shed light on the grassroots experiences and empower organizations to make a positive change in the lives of the people they serve.

Varun R

Founder & Director

Raja Varun is a full time Social Impact Film maker and Photographer. He is the founder of Apex Filmworks. He has worked with various International, National and local organizations to bring out some of the most impactful stories from the field. Two of his movies "Shramdaan"'' and "The October 6" have been screened globally during major events

Anima Kerketta

Creative Head

Anima Kerketta is a dedicated social development professional with a passion for grassroots-level community development, particularly in rural areas. Her extensive experience spans four years of dedicated service with Kudumbashree National Resource Organisation, a Ministry of Rural Development institution under the Government of India. Her work has focused on poverty eradication, institution building, and empowering livelihoods through women entrepreneurship.

Sanjay Sawale

Video Editor and VFX Artist

Sanjay Sawale is a brilliant video editor and vfx artist. He has 6 years of experience in providing editing services various agencies. His areas of expertise extend from corporate, tourism, ad films, to documentaries.

An avid editor with state of the art equipment, Sanjay creates everything necessary for an impactful story telling. He has a team of its own where they manage streamlined work for a better output.

R. Megha

Design and Film CrewDesign and Film Crew

R. Megha is a graduate from NIFT,Chennai from the Textile Design department. She is a textile and graphic designer. She has interned with Cottonworld Bangalore where she has designed prints for marks and spencer. She is a spirited individual with a nifty creative acumen . She

believes in using the design process to develop eccentric designs.

Shahbaz

Photographer and Film Maker

Shahbaz is a young photographer and film maker who started as a wedding photographer. Being a graduate in Business administration,he always focused on documenting the stories of young entrepreneurs and enterprises.

He has experience of documenting impactful stories from the ground with Ekta Parishad. One of his iconic projects had been a photo series based on the youngsters involved in agriculture sector.
